Kevin's Platform
Maintain Local Control
I stand firmly for local control. Who cares more for Pinehurst then its residents? Who better understands our history and proud traditions. I will vigorously oppose any state effort to undermine Pinehurst’s ability to govern itself. Lets work together to
Keep Pinehurst Local !
Enhance Senior Services
Pinehurst is uniquely positioned to be a model senior-oriented, age-friendly, community. A much more intentional and coordinated effort is needed to ensure our seniors remain safe, engaged, and empowered.
Improve,
Don’t Destroy the Circle
Our iconic traffic circle is more than a roadway, it’s a symbol of the care, beauty, and tradition that make Pinehurst unique. Lets improve, not destroy the circle. Lets nurture, protect and enhance the good things that bought us here.
Maintain and Enforce STR Ordinance
Lets work together to preserve our residential neighborhoods and more importantly, the essential, long lasting relationships that are the fabric of our community I support the current STR ordinance and will work to balance the rights and responsibilities of homeowners
Nurture our Unique Quality of Life
I believe that the job is of the Village Council is both straightforward and critically important: to nurture the good. That means preserving our unique village charm, managing growth responsibly, and ensuring quality public services that meet the needs of young families and seniors alike.
Invest in the Vitality of the Historic District
The Historic District is one of the Crown Jewels of Pinehurst. Lets always strive to promote the beauty and vitality of our downtown and our merchant community. Lets nurture the good things that brought us here and protect the legacy that's been passed down to us.
Support Local Merchants
The strong merchant community is the anchor for our historic downtown. Our shops and restaurants offer a beautiful setting and legendary hospitality to our neighbors and guests alike. Lets support our merchant community. As they prosper, so do we all.
ETJ
Pinehurst has always been associated with a peaceful "Town and Country" lifestyle. The Extra Territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) represents a large area, the Pinehurst controls, that is home to family farms and the equestrian community. Lets work to protect the ETJ, to resist over-development and continue to provide are Village with the breathing space we have all come to know and love, Town and Country, each is essential and inseparable.
About
Kevin and his wife, Ann, chose Pinehurst as their retirement home for its strong sense of community and exceptional quality of life. “This is a special place, and we’re proud to call it home,” he said. “Serving on the Village Council is an opportunity to give back and help shape a future that honors Pinehurst’s traditions while thoughtfully addressing the needs of tomorrow.”
Fitzpatrick is currently serving his second term as President of the No. 6 Community Association, representing nearly 800 households. He also lends his time and insight as a member of the Village’s Neighborhood Advisory Committee and the Pinehurst Development Ordinance Task Force. Earlier this year, he was honored as Pinehurst’s Volunteer of the Year.
In addition to his local leadership, Fitzpatrick brings decades of high-level executive experience to his candidacy. He was the founding Chief Executive Officer of CancerLinQ™, a national initiative to harness clinical data to advance cancer research and care. Prior to that, he served for eight years as Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer at the American College of Cardiology, where he led major national efforts to improve cardiovascular and diabetes care.
